Understand a bank from the inside — one entry at a time

An entry is a line recorded on a bank's balance sheet. Here you do not read about banks — you keep the balance sheet yourself: you make the first loan, survive a bank run, run QE. And the AI mentor takes apart your own mistakes — and while the level is open, it does not hand over the answer.

Your progress lives in the cloud: start on a phone, finish at a desk. Lose connection mid-level and the level still finishes — nothing you entered is lost, and it syncs the moment you are back.

Before the entry: assets 100 million — reserves at the central bank. Liabilities and equity 100 million — equity.

This is a real level from chapter 1 — not an illustration. The whole game looks like this.

Sound familiar?

A bank is built like a black box. That is not an accident

Opacity pays the middlemen. The bill goes to the people who need to understand a bank — before a negotiation, an interview, or simply for themselves.

I have a meeting with the bank tomorrow and I still mix up escrow and a letter of credit. Just not another four-month course — I need to understand how this machine works, now.

what it costsa negotiation lost, a round delayed, nodding while googling under the table

I paid a hundred and seventeen thousand for a course. The block was far too compressed — I had to work most of it out myself.

what it costs$1,000–1,400 for video — or choice paralysis and zero progress

I asked ChatGPT and it explained confidently. It turned out to be wrong. Worse, it does the thinking for me, and a week later my head is empty.

what it coststhe illusion of knowing, until reality checks it

The textbook was abandoned in chapter three. YouTube is a mush of fragments: I got a piece, I did not get the system.

what it costs60–120 hours of blind self-study — and still no picture

These stories share one thing: reading about a bank is not the same as running its operations with your own hands. Until now the second option was open only to people on corporate programs costing $2,000 and up. Not anymore.

How it works

Do not watch a bank work. Work as one

You post the operation

Every level is a real operation: make a loan, book a loan loss provision, raise repo, survive a bank run. There is no video here at all.

The balance sheet checks every step

Double-entry bookkeeping is a strict judge: if assets do not tie out with liabilities, the level is not passed, and you can see exactly where. Being wrong is safe here: this is a sandbox, not a real bank.

The mentor takes it apart without giving it away

The AI mentor sees how you reasoned, calls a mistake a mistake and asks the question that leads you to the answer. While the level is still open, it will not hand you the solution — once you have submitted it, it will go through it with you.

Where to start

The banker's minimum — 7 chapters, about 20 hours

Do not let the number 141 scare you. That is depth, not an entry barrier: the main path is a track of 7 chapters, in 20-minute sessions. After it you have run the balance sheet, liquidity, capital and treasury with your own hands — not read about them, run them.

The AI mentor

It will not tell you the answer. It will take apart your mistake

The mentor answers from the course corpus — 435 thousand tokens of checked knowledge, pointing at the level it came from. What is not in the course, it says so, and a clearly marked answer from outside the corpus is possible too.

  • The finished author's solution to an open level is never passed into the context — that is held by a blocking test; inside a level the mentor is told to lead with questions, not give the answer. Once you have submitted the level, the debrief can discuss the solution in full.
  • It does not flatter. Do not praise what is wrong; call a mistake a mistake calmly and show where the person turned off — that is a rule from the project constitution.
  • It answers from the program with references to chapters; what is not in the course, it says so plainly instead of staying silent or filling the gap with a guess. Like any model, it can be mistaken — check the level it points to.

Mentor$19.00 per month

Two clicks to turn on, no keys needed. The question quota is included. To stop it, write to support — the conversation history stays.

For engineers: your own key (BYOK) is free

Plug in your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter key and pay the provider directly, at cost (about 1–6¢ a question). Nothing comes to us: we earn on the course, not on reselling tokens. Spending limits are on by default.

YouWhy was the level rejected? The assets tie out.
MentorThe assets do. Now look at the liabilities: Irina's deposit left the bank, and you did not reduce her account. Where do you think those 100 million went? Go back to step 2 — half the answer is already there.
YouJust tell me the entry.
MentorNo — otherwise you will forget it again tomorrow. Think: what happens to a customer's account when the money goes to another bank? That is level 4.2, and you have passed it.

The real mechanics of the conversation: a Socratic question instead of a ready answer

Pricing

Here are all the prices. There are no others

The core is a one-time purchase, like a book or a tool. There is a subscription only where the value is continuous — the AI mentor. And it can be canceled by writing to support.

Each currency has its own price: these are two prices, not one converted at a rate.

Who Bankwright is not for

This product sells understanding, not a dream. So here is the honest part — the limits.

This is not for you if you…

  • are looking for trading signals or passive income — there are no investment recommendations here at all;
  • are preparing for the CFA or FRM — we do not certify and do not cover the exam syllabus;
  • are a working treasurer or structurer — much of it will be familiar (though chapters 9–16 may still surprise you);
  • want to watch video at 1.5x — here you will have to solve it yourself;
  • are under 16.

What is not here and never will be

  • promises of income and financial freedom in 30 days;
  • expiring discounts and false-urgency timers;
  • streaks, penalties and guilt over a missed day;
  • selling your data and hidden charges;
  • paper certificates — instead of them, understanding you can hear in a conversation.

Player reviews will be here — real ones, with names and dates. We do not write 50,000 happy students while that is untrue. A player counter will appear on this page when it has something to show.

an honesty slot · filled in by reality

The questions you have already asked yourself

Short honest answers

Is this another video course?

No. There is no video here at all — not one. Every level is an operation you post yourself, and a balance sheet that checks every step you take.

I do not have 40 hours for 141 levels

The main path is the banker's minimum track: 7 chapters, about 20 hours, in 20-minute sessions. The value starts at the first level: you create money by hand within 15 minutes. The 141 levels are a reserve of depth, not an entry ticket.

ChatGPT will explain the same thing for free

It will explain — and decide for you, get it wrong without warning and praise you for a mistake. Here you get a program of 16 chapters, every step checked by double-entry bookkeeping, and a mentor that is forbidden to spoil or flatter.

Why so cheap if it goes so deep?

A solo author, AI tools, infrastructure that costs pennies and zero spending on a sales department. $199.00 is an honest price without a sales office, not a 90% discount for today only.

Is this about Russian banks? It is not relevant to me

The mechanics are universal: the balance sheet, liquidity, capital and double-entry bookkeeping are the same from Bishkek to New York. The cases in the game are global: SVB, Evergrande, Archegos.

I am not a mathematician

The arithmetic is plus and minus. What you have to add up here are ideas, not numbers — the hardest calculation in the game is within reach of a sixth-grader.

Not ready today?

Leave your email and the author will write to you in person. There is no mailing list: one letter, to the point.

What the email is for — a walkthrough of one level.

The letter is written by the author of the course, not a robot. To unsubscribe, just reply to it.

The first entry takes 10 minutes.
After that you decide

The first 3 chapters are free, with no account and no card. If it does not grab you, you have lost nothing. If it does, you will finally understand how money works.
